エレクトロニック・アーツ株式会社は、最新鋭のゲームエンジンFrostbiteTM 2 を駆使した超リアル近未来戦争ゲーム『バトルフィールド ３』の日本語版を11月2日（水）に発売すると発表し
た。
本作は全世界で累計3000万本の売上を達した「バトルフィールド」シリーズの最新作で、今年のロサンゼルスで開催されたE3（Electronic Entertainment Expo）でGame Critic Awardsの最高アクションゲーム賞や最高オンライン・マルチプレイヤー賞を含む46 のアワードを受賞し、32 のノミネートを受けた今年話題の作品。
本作の予約特典である「Back to Karkand」には、Strike at Karkand、Wake Island、Gulf of
Oman、Sharqi Peninsula という4 つのマップを収録し、「バトルフィールド 2」で好評を得た武器や搭乗兵器、トロフィーなどが勢ぞろいしており、新旧のバトルフィールドファンにとって、魅力的な内容になっている。
